The DK2 units are basic three pass cast iron boilers that can be vented into an existing chimney or direct vented. The SOLENNE CONDENSING SERIES offers wall-hung high efficiency boilers but the warranty on the brand is not very good compared to others.
This brand is from RHEEM MANUFACTURING which is a part of the PALOMA GROUP.
The RAYTHERM series features atmospheric boilers that use spark to pilot ignition which can lead to more maintenance and repairs. The HI DELTA units use sealed combustion and direct hot surface ignition. They are two stage units with an efficiency of about 84%.
The XPAK model (shown here) is a wall hung modulating, condensing boiler with a built-in three speed circulator pump and outdoor reset control for added energy savings. The warranty on the brand is just not very good.
The RS SERIES offers three pass cast iron boilers with automatic electronic controls. The brand is from ONMETAL and is made in Turkey but their website is not much help.
This brand offers high efficiency wall-mounted boilers. They have a modulating pump for higher efficiency and a stainless steel heat exchanger for durability. They are sold through dealers but the warranty on parts (except the heat exchanger) is not as good as many brands.
The GCU (pictured here) is made in Germany and is sold throughout Europe. It is available in four sizes and integrates a built-in storage tank for heating and domestic hot water production. The built-in digital programmer compensates for the outdoor temperature for added energy savings and the boiler is fully modulating. The GW units are condensing/modulating boilers with advanced digital controls that allow for weekly programming. Their website is not much help and does not have a stated warranty policy.
