This brand is from ALPHA HEATING INNOVATION which is a part of IMMERGAS GROUP and is available in the U.K. The SOLARSMART kits use a drainback tank for freeze protection. They have a patented "solar valve" which sends water directly from the solar heater to the tap, if the temperature is >60C. If the temperature is <60C, the water is sent from the solar heater to the combi boiler for further heating. The collectors can be mounted in the roof or on the roof as well as used on flat a flat roof. The brand has a good guarantee on the collectors and the tank but not the other parts.
This brand is a part of AO SMITH. The standard systems include the basic parts for installing the system while the deluxe packages include the materials such as flashing, etc. to install the panels on the roof. The systems are available in sixteen different configurations to suit just about any need. The warranty is very complicated and the guarantee on parts (except for the storage tank and panels) is not as good as many other brands.
