We have given each brand a rating of from 1 to 5 stars. A 5* rating means that, if we were shopping for a unit for our home, that is the brand we would choose. When more than one brand has a 5* rating, we would choose the least expensive model. Along with the rating, we have included the manufacturers' web addresses as well as our reviews of their products.

Our first group is wood stove ratings. These units burn logs and are stand alone heating appliances.

Their warranty is good for everything except the actual heat chamber which does not have a good guarantee and is the major part of the units.
