We have researched the manufacturers data and compared the brands from a repairman's point of view. We have ranked them in two categories for a fair comparison. The first group are basic units. These are typically mounted in a central location such as a hallway. The second group is ducted units. They typically have several inlets instead of a central inlet. Our simple system of stars helps you to quickly compare brands. A 5* rating means that, if we were shopping for our home, that is the brand we would choose.
