The ANK models are basic heat pumps with durable scroll compressors while the ANKI models have state of the art inverter compressors. They are monoblock units where everything is installed outside of the home. The HBI model is a split unit with the compressor outside and the hydronic package on the inside which is easier to install in some conditions.
