We have separated our packaged air conditioner ratings into seven different categories. This provides a fair representation of the products and allows you to quickly find the unit for your application. We have given each brand a rating from 1 to 5 stars. A 5* rating means that, if we were shopping for our own home, that is the brand we would choose. We have also included our comments concerning the advantages/disadvantages of the different brands. When more than one brand has a five star rating, we would choose the least expensive one. When an NA appears in the place of stars, it indicates that the manufacturer does not have a unit in that category or we could not get enough information to make an accurate rating.
